The NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance examination in India for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate medical courses (MBBS, BDS, and other medical-related courses) in government and private medical colleges. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Key Features of NEET: Purpose: NEET is the sole entrance exam for admission to various medical courses across India, including MBBS, BDS, and other courses like BAMS, BHMS, and BVSc. Eligibility: Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission (and no more than 25 years for general category; 30 years for reserved categories). Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed their 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as mandatory subjects. Minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for PwD) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Nationality: Indian citizens, NRIs, OCI, PIO, and foreign nationals are eligible to apply.
